!!!!!PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION!!!!!
This Blog is all about Led Zeppelin and sharing every known concert recording (bootleg) spanning their career 1968 - 1980. My goal is
to help others in finding these historic shows! Any Led Zeppelin concert you want RIGHT HERE!!! These shows are a time machine into the past that allow us people of today to enjoy the Led Zeppelin experience in true, raw form, straight from the tapers! I believe everyone should be able to enjoy these shows! And I really appreciate all of the Tapers who made these shows available!!! I may not have every single bootleg available, but there is at least one for every date known to have been recorded.
On the right side of the blog is the Concert Date Archive containing every concert date performed by Zep in yearly order, when you click on any date it takes you to the bootleg for that show. Below that is the Post Archive, Special Thanks and links to other popular bootleg sites. On the left side of the blog is a Video Archive section containing everything there is of live footage of Zep (DVD's, 8MM and Fan Footage) And below that is the Lossless section.
Every concert I post will contain a link to download the concert. I use Mega to upload and make available for download. You do not have to install the Mega App to download shows, but I highly recommend it. Especially when downloading the bigger files. It does make things easier. But you can just use your browser. Also, some browsers like Internet Explorer will not let you download. Firefox and Google Chrome work well. I assure you that all of the links here will be working as long as I'm alive!
If you have any problems at all, just leave a comment and I will help you ASAP. I hope you enjoy! LONG LIVE LED ZEPPELIN!!!

Review:
62,000 Led Zeppelin Fans Jam Kingdome

They came at night by the thousands, some waiting for two days in the rain and cold for a chance to have their ears assaulted and nerves numbed and to say they saw Led Zeppelin. It was a night of pot, pills and popcorn with the popcorn coming in a close third to the other two. But overall, the Led Zeppelin concert at the Kingdome came off without too much trouble. There were several arrests, lots of dope and booze smuggled in – either under coats or inside bodies – and some very sick kids from drinking too much. “It's not a bad bunch considering the number of people here”, one Seattle police officer said of the 62,000 people, “and considering the reputation of the group.” Led Zeppelin has earned a reputation for attracting surly crowds which generally fight and riot. But the most damage was to the ears and there is a possibility 62,000 people will spend today saying, “Huh?” What attracted these people, generally hard-core rock fans, was the experience.

It was appreciated by some when the lead singer, Robert Plant, told the crowd he was deaf in one ear. It was a miracle the whole band wasn’t stone deaf. Later, Plant said his hearing came back during one number. The concert started shortly after 8 p.m. amid fireworks and people holding up lighted matches, the moment everybody had been waiting for. Throughout the long Sunday, the huge crowd remained orderly as it waited to get through the gates and have the experience. At 4:30 yesterday afternoon, the 20,000 or so Zeppelin fans waiting at the Kingdome started to chant, “We want in, we want in.” Suddenly a movement rippled through the crowd like a wave pushing the front-line troops into the fence. Plant promised that the 1977 tour would be “blood, thunder and the hammer of the gods”. A squad of paramedics was geared up for the blood and everybody else was geared up for the thunder and hammer part.

Return Of The Dinosaurs (GM-LZ-11.08.1979-DVD-03) 2 DVDR
Knebworth Festival, 11 August 1979

Disc 1 (83.08 mins): Intro/he Song Remains The Same/Celebration Day/Black Dog/Nobody's Fault But Mine/Over The Hills And Far Away/Misty Mountain Hop/Since I've Been Loving You/No Quarter/Hot Dog/The Rain Song/White Summer Black Mountain Side/Kashmir

This 2 DVDR set is a presentation of the excellent quality official video, combined with the soundboard soundtrack , from Genuine Masters. The source for this video is the same generation as the one released in the Summer of 2004 on a 3 DVDR no label release Knebworth Festival 1979. That release was excellent, but there was a problem on the copy of the video they used in that release, as there is a glitch during Kashmir and the video jumps back to Black Mountain Side. This fault has been corrected on this new release from Genuine Masters. The picture quality is excellent, a fraction better than Knebworth Festival 1979. The soundtrack stereo sound quality is also really excellent, and both factors combined make this a highly enjoyable release. Clever artwork once again, in extremely high quality colour reproduction, and the two DVDs are also picture discs. The pros and cons of both Knebworth concerts can be debated until the cows come home, but this was the very last concert by Led Zeppelin on home soil, and is therefore an important and significent event. (Jules McTrainspotter Nov 04)

The Genuine Masters release is the absolute best version available. There will not be a better version of this show unless Mr. Page officially releases his masters of this show. I compared this release with the "GB" label release and find this one is overall sharper in in sound & audio. Sorta like comparing a 1st gen to a 2nd gen. You can see the differences in the video/color/lack of blurriness on the closeups during the concert. As for the sound, Genuine Masters' "standard" PCM stereo is better than GB's compressed stereo (it's not actually Dolby digital as advertised). That said, the GB label does sound good, just not up to Genuine Masters' level.
Complete zeppelin videos are rare, so all fans should have this release (and I assume everyone reading this review already has this on VHS from years ago). If you still have those old VHS copies please put them out of their misery and get the Genuine Masters, or you can wait until Page/Plant/Jones allow the official release, if you think that's gonna happen...(David Smith, December 2004)

It's a sure sign that the bootleg DVD business has arrived when there's a rush to bring a hot new show to market by rival labels. The concert in question is Led Zeppelin's complete Knebworth performance from 8-11-79, a few songs from which are featured on the officially released DVD. The so-called rivalry is between boutique desktop Zeppelin specialist Genuine Masters, the label that broke new ground with its justly praised remasters of classic Zep sets leveraging high resolution linear PCM audio channels of DVD for playback, and "Genuine Bastard," a new moniker that looks to be associated, based on packaging and other factors, with premier DVD bootlegger 4 Reel Productions. Both surfaced simultaneously, though GB's distribution is far more widespread than that of GM, which caters to a more elusive clientele. Like Earls Court and Seattle '77 before it, this Knebworth performance has been booted to death on DVD, with many previous releases claiming to be the definitive edition. Both GB's Knebworth '79: 25th Anniversary Edition and GM's Return Of The Dinosaurs represent true significant upgrades, offering sound and picture quality approaching that of an official release with little video banding, excellent sharpness and only some color saturation artifacts and softness in low-light situations. The differences between the two are largely down to presentation: Genuine Bastard's issue is a dual-layer (DVD9), region-free silver single disc housed in a nice-looking digipak with appropriate period photos and graphics including the sharp on-screen menu (though oddly the opening sequence credits this disc as presented by "Genuine Masters" [sic]). In all, it's a fine example of the contemporary DVD bootleg aesthetic and good value as far as fitting the entire show on one disc. Genuine Masters' two DVD-R set is more of a throwback, taking a fantasy approach to its full-color artwork depicting a T-Rex being circled by Zep's "Swan Song Man." It's on-screen menu offers impressive motion graphics for each chapter. As for the nitty gritty, the picture quality distinction between the two is a toss-up, while audio wise, GM's hi-res linear PCM gets a slight nod over GB's simulated surround sound, though you can't go too wrong either way. (Butterking Dec 04, from an expanded Review from Going Underground, ICE Magazine, Jan 05)

The second show of the tour and the second concert in two years. It shows. The band is very rusty and unrehearsed, PA system problems truncated group's playing, and Jimmy plays solos in completely wrong keys in some songs! Robert's voice is fairly strong and the rhythm section seems all right in most spots, but the lack of confidence shows in the short length of No Quarter, Ten Years Gone and In My Time Of Dying. This show is also the second ever time the new Presence songs are performed live, as well as Ten Years Gone and The Battle Of Evermore.

The sound quality of the audience tape from the Oklahoma show starts off mostly muffled and distant. Good at best. It is hard to determine if the muffled sound is the result of a faulty PA system or a poorly positioned recorder. The sound also brightens and dulls throughout the entire show. This may be attributed to adjustments made to the PA system. When the recording does clear up, the sound is very good. And for the most part, brighter. The instruments are well defined during these portions even though the recording is a little distant. A quieted audience lessens the distance by allowing better definition of the instrumentation. There is no noticeable tape hiss in either condition. The sound quality of tracks without notation after them fall into the very good category. The guitar solo preceding Achilles Last Stand does not include any anthems and is much shorter than later versions from this tour. Plant recalls before Stairway to Heaven the last time they were in Oklahoma (1970). The "experts" will disagree with Plant's recollection (1971 is their assertion).

Not the greatest recording (it is a bit distorted but still listenable), but this is a classic show- the one where Jimmy Page wore the infamous
"Stormtrooper" outfit. Considering the man went down with, ahem, 'gastroentritis' onstage the night before, Page bounces back quite nicely
on this show. Arguably the first really decent '77 performance.

This is all that is known to exist from this very enjoyable 1977 show. The playing is slick and there is nary a mistake throughout this concert. Kashmir is very powerful and the opening blast into Sick Again is quite powerful. Robert gets upset at the constant barrage of firecrackers, which are clearly audible on this tape. A rather rowdy audience gets out of control in some point that caused Plant to comment: "It's very difficult to play when you see crowds of people swaying. Keep it cool. Stand still. We don't want to see anybody get hurt."

The tape begins with a brief introduction by the tapers before the band takes the stage. Things get off to a shaky start with Page struggling to find his footing during the opening numbers. He completely destroys the first guitar solo in Sick Again. As the song ends, Plant asks the crowd to "try and just keep it cool, stand still okay?" Page shreds wildly through the guitar solo in Nobody's Fault But Mine. His fingers get stuck in the strings throughout Since I've Been Loving You.

Someone near the taper can be heard commenting on the fog engulfing the stage as No Quarter begins. Jones's dramatic piano solo in introduced by a series of ghostly moans from the theramin over the thunderous rumbling of Bonzo's tympani. The upbeat interlude continues to expand, tonight featuring an outstanding hard rock workout. Page delivers an excellent guitar solo. The return to the main theme is met with a hail of firecracker blasts. A fantastic performance. There is a slight cut near the end of Ten Years Gone.

The Battle of Evermore is introduced as "a story that reflects an evening about six or seven hundred years ago." Plant asks the crowd to "cool it with the firecrackers" before a beautiful Going to California. Page and Plant get into a bit of Johnny Burnette's Cincinnati Fireball before Black Country Woman. Unfortunately, the remainder of the tape is plagued by constant volume fluctuations. Page's fingers fly across the fretboard during an excellent performance of White Summer/Black Mountain Side. The recording ends as Kashmir comes to a close.
